In 2012, they get together for their college reunion which Tamannaah Bhatia plays her role of a journalist. They all get together after many years and decide to go on a road trip to Andaman and Nicobar islands. Once that the five friends get stranded on an island, they meet another group who consists of four sisters named Nupur (Kareena Kapoor), Pooja (Nikita Dhawan), Nidhi (Raveena Tandon) and Hema (Alia Bhatt). They are all traveling to Andaman and Nicobar islands to spend the summer holidays. Somil tells them about a castaway who lived on the island for nine years. They decide go and meet that man, but later it turns out that he is dead. The five friends decide to stay there for a few days as they have no idea about the boat schedule and their tickets will expire in a few days. They know each other well enough to trust each other with their personal affairs, which might prove good in time of need even if those times might be turbulent. In those nine years, Somil had brought up a son named Rohan (Ayushman Khurrana). Ishaan and Raj both had relationships that ended in a bitter way. Raj was separated from his girlfriend when he went off to the university and she married someone else. Tamanna visits Somil's home where she finds Rohan and they fall in love with each other. It turns out that Rohan heard stories about his father from Somil and gets Tamanna interested in learning more about him.
